Title: A thousand Words
______________________________________________________

Kio leafed through yet another new pile of pictures on Soubi’s desk. “Ah, ya know kid some of these are pretty good. Are you trying to take after Sou-chan or some thing?” Kio said turning too Ritsuka.

“What do you mean by that? Pictures are pictures there nothing like paintings.”

Kio slapped his hand on his thy. “Of course they’re alike. Look at this one its gorgeous I love how the light bounces off the water and illuminates the trees.”

Ritsuka smiled grimly as he leaned back agents his chair. “So that’s how you see it?”

“Eh? What the hell do you mean by that?” Ritsuka sighed at the interruption and continued. “My pictures will never be like Soubi’s paintings. A painting comes from within. Its form color and meaning all come from the creator and it shows through. It will always carry the same meaning no matter who looks at it. Pictures are completely different. A picture is a soulless memory. A small fragment of time frozen for ever. They say a picture is worth a thousand words but that’s not quite true. A single picture carries far more than that wile simultaneously holding nothing. Each person who looks at any one picture sees some thing completely different. Even if two people were there when the picture was taken that one picture would still mean two different tings to them. To me there is nothing beautiful about any of my pictures epically that one.”

Kio looked at the picture of the pond by the forest in his hands and frowned. “You, you’re a weird kid.”

Title: A new form of punishment

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Soubi sighed slightly frustrated as he walked down the street to Ritsuka’s house. His own words repeated themselves in his head repeatedly as yesterdays little argument flashed in his head.

-----

Ritsuka flushed red and puffed his tail at Soubi once again angry with him. Soubi couldn’t help but smile at Ritsuka. He always looked so damn cute when he was mad. When Ritsuka let out a small growl Soubi couldn’t help him self.

“You can always punish me.”

Soubi couldn’t help but feel somewhat offended when Ritsuka’s previously angry glare suddenly switched to an odd look that seemed to imply Soubi’s brain had gone defective.

“Idiot, I told you I don’t believe in violence so stop saying that.”

“Why?”

“Because!”

“If you want to make me stop asking you, you should punish me for asking you. That way I’d never want to ask you again.”

Ritsuka’s face drew oddly blank for a moment before an odd look that Soubi had never seen before crossed Ritsuka’s face.

“Well, fine. You can expect your punishment tomorrow.”

Before Soubi could react to Ritsuka’s odd behavior he quickly sprinted up to his home and disappeared within locking the door behind him.

-----

With one good jump he was able to grab onto the guardrail and pull himself up onto the balcony attached to Ritsuka’s room. Soubi frowned to himself when he realized that all the lights were out including Ritsuka’s reading lamp. He had hoped Ritsuka was just reading a book and pretending to be asleep on order to avoid his mother. Unfortunately for him, for some reason Ritsuka still wasn’t home yet.

-----

Soubi nearly dropped his keys when a shrill high-pitched scream emitted from his apartment. With rather certain knowledge that there could only be one person in the world who could possibly be in his apartment making such a feminine screech Soubi casually opened his door knowing full well said person never bothered to lock the damn door behind him.

A flurry of thudding footstep raced towards him and before he could even bother to ask what was wrong with him this time Soubi found himself staring into gigantic watery eyes.

“You were with him weren’t you?”

“Him? You mean Ritsuka? No, not yet but I believe I have to go visit him in a little bit. He said he was going to punish me properly today.”

“WHAT!?! Oh, my God I knew it!”

When Soubi didn’t bother to respond Kio draped himself further on Soubi’s large frame.

“Sou-chan, how could you? I knew you were a pervert but I never really thought you would do it!”

“Eh?” Soubi blinked confused at Kio’s little statement. “Do what?”

“That kid…and you, that’s just, I mean, it’s just too much!”

It didn’t take much for Soubi to figure out what Kio was talking about. With an annoyed glance Soubi shrugged Kio off and proceeded to put his groceries away.

“For the last time Kio, I’m not a pervert and I certainly haven’t done anything wrong.”

“You and him will always be wrong! You’ll go to jail if anyone finds out about you two! You’re way to old for him, and he’s just to young in general!”

“Age doesn’t really matter, besides Ritsuka’s mature for his age.”

“He’s twelve, he couldn’t be that mature!”

“He’s defiantly more mature than you.”

Soubi heard more than felt when Kio flung an overly soft object from his bed at his back. It let it a tiny muffled thwack as it did it’s best to dole out damage before falling to the floor almost silently.

Just as Soubi was going to turn around and tell Kio just how much of an idiot he was being Kio stormed out of his apartment.

With a sigh at his friends over active imagination and a tiny bit of relief at his departure Soubi went over and started to fix the bed that Kio had mussed up. After giving his sheets two shakes and a pat Soubi froze and his eyes drifted over to the item that Kio had tossed at his back

-----

Soubi was more than a little a bit relived when he found that Ritsuka’s sliding glass widows were unlocked per usual. With out Ritsuka there wasn’t really a reason to stick around any more than absolutely necessary so Soubi quickly placed the small black feline ears and tail on his desk before leaving. Soubi paused only for a second to marvel at how exquisite they were. He had seen fake ears and tails before but the set Ritsuka had found had to be by far the best yet.

As Soubi landed gracefully on the ground below after taking his usual leap off the ledge an odd thought popped up in his mind. Just where did Ritsuka get them? Better yet why did he have them on hand? Not to mention whom in there right mind would sell a set replacement ears and tail to a twelve-year-old boy.

Soubi scratched his head in frustration at his ever-growing headache.  Now all he had to do was track down Kio and explain to the hyper active guy that the ears were fake and that he didn’t do any thing to Ritsuka…. They were fake right? The just looked real. Ritsuka would never think about losing his ears at his age. He was too innocent for that kind of thing.

Zero would be laughing their asses off at him if they ever realized that he thought Ritsuka might have lost his ears to someone else in his own apartment.

Soubi shuddered slightly as a small thought crossed his mind fleetingly. Where were they? It couldn’t have been them… They were always a bit to cuddly around Ritsuka for his tastes. Soubi thought back on all the times he had to step in and stop the boys from striping Ritsuka, who was by the most part ignoring their antics.

If he had gotten to his place they could have easily over powered him together. It wouldn’t take much for their little flirting game to go to far and they were always talking about loosing their ears.

Soubi groaned as he pulled out a cigarette and lit it as he turned around and headed back towards Ritsuka’s home. It was going to be a long wait until Ritsuka got back. He was defiantly going to have to be more careful about asking Ritsuka to punish him from now on.

Ritsuka was just a little bit too cruel for his tastes.

Title: Hate

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There were so many things Ritsuka hated. The list was so long that he often lost count of all the things that he hated.

Ritsuka hated his false smile. How it would be plastered across his face whenever anyone asked him how he was doing. Then no matter what the real answer was that same fake smile would brush across his face and he would tell them he was just fine, often lying through his teeth.

Ritsuka hated how he treated his friend. He would often ignore that loopy idiot outright. True friends were valuable and rare so they deserved better than that.

Ritsuka hated the silence. How he could stand there forever with out uttering a single word to anyone. Somehow talking to other people had become completely unnecessary to him.

Ritsuka hated the perfection. His words, actions, and very demeanor were so carefully measured and played out. A real person showed there faults to the world but some how he usually kept those to himself.

Ritsuka hated his lies the most. They seemed to come out of his mouth endlessly. He lied so much that he couldn’t always tell where the lies began and the truth started, if there was any truth there in the first place.

 Yes, Ritsuka truly hated himself.

Title: Ritsukaphile

Kio often accused Soubi of many things. He would call him a pedophile, queer, shotacon, that he had a Lolita complex or was just a plain old hentai but none of them were true.

Soubi wasn’t queer. Gender didn’t really matter to him. So he couldn’t be. He loved his sacrifice and that’s all there was to it. Weather his sacrifice was a man, woman, or child that one person would be the sole being on this earth that could hold his heart. His sacrifice simply happened to be a male. That didn’t make him gay, devoted certainly but defiantly not gay. Even though he had no interest in women…

Soubi was by no means a pedophile or shotacon either. He didn’t lust after children or dream of taking their ears from them. There was only Ritsuka. It was Ritsuka and Ritsuka alone he wanted to hold on to and cuddle. Maybe in the future when he was older if Ritsuka wanted to he would take his ears but not before.

Although he thought Ritsuka was unbearably cute that idea never crossed his mind when he saw other children so he certainly didn’t have a Lolita complex. Children were uninteresting to him. Ritsuka was different from all the rest. The way he stood, talked, and just acted in general was far more mature than anyone he had ever met before. Ritsuka was an enigma, rare creature with the mind of an adult and the body of a child.

As for being hentai, that was the easiest comment to dismiss. Sure Soubi constantly thought about the boy but it was never anything dirty. How those brilliant violet eyes would sparkle whenever he got angry. How his little ears and tail made his every emotion so glaringly obvious or, that beautiful little blush that would always spread across his face when he became embarrassed. There were so many things to love about him how could one not think about Ritsuka all the time?

Truthfully it was really quite obvious what Soubi was. He was a Ritsukaphile plain and simple.

Title: Forgiven

Yuiko sniffed as yet another wave of tear came. No matter how hard she tries she just couldn’t seem to stop crying. Ritsuka was in the nurse’s office and it was all her fault.

“Hey, Yuiko is it true some girl confessed to Ritsuka and you got so mad you pushed him down the stairs?” A boy from their class called out to her as he walked down the hall.

“Naw, I heard it was a suicide attempt. He finally got so sick of her following him around like a lost puppy he decided he’d rather be dead than go through another minute of it.” His friend chimed in causing them both to break out in hysteric laughter as they passed.

Then with out any warning she found herself surrounded by a couple of girls from her class. “Why do you even hang out with him Yuiko? He’s creepy and rude.”

“Yeah, he fell down a flight of stairs and he didn’t even make a peep.” One of the girls shuddered slightly. “He was all covered in blood and he acted as if nothing was wrong.”

“I was not COVERED in blood.” The sharp sudden tone made all the girls jump. With out being noticed Ritsuka had emerged from the nurse’s office and come up to the group. “Now go away and leave Yuiko alone.” Immediately they took off leaving a still sobbing Yuiko alone with Ritsuka.

“Yuiko is so sorry!” She wailed leaning back agents the wall and covering her face with her hands in an attempt to stem her tears.

Ritsuka sighed. “I already told you it’s all right. It was an accident after all. I’m ok, all it was a little cut on my forehead. They bleed worse than they are I got a band aid and it stopped bleeding.”

“It is NOT ok!” Yuiko wailed. “What Yuiko did was unforgivable!”

Ritsuka slowly walked up to Yuiko and pulled her hands from covering her face. “Yuiko look at me.” Yuiko slowly opened her eyes and her heart nearly stopped all together. Ritsuka had gotten so close that his intense large violet eves took up nearly her entire field of vision. She could actually feel his breath on her. “Don’t cry. I’ve told you already that I’m alright, you apologized and I told you that I was ok. Yuiko you are completely and utterly forgiven. I have no grudge or ill will what so ever. There is no need to cry, apologize, or feel the least bit bad. I wouldn’t have said it if I didn’t mean it. Dou you understand?”

Yuiko nodded as she dried her tears. “Good.” Ritsuka smiled as he turned and begun to walk away. “Now come on were going to be late for class.” Yukio quickly bounced behind him trying desperately to calm her still pounding heart.

Title: Sin and Betrayal
Rating: M

Kyoshi couldn't help but stare at the mysterious hybrid as it lounged casually in its cell humming a soft tune to itself as if it barely cared it was there. Feline hybrids were a rare find even among the most avid collectors mainly due to the fact they were strictly regulated. To even obtain a domesticated breed took years and countless hurtles but this one was a panther hybrid. Due to their extremely unpredictable nature wild cats were nearly outlawed several years ago. The only thing that kept the law from passing was their extreme rarity and the fact only a hand full of wealthy and influential people owned one.
Kyoshi always considered him self lucky that he got to deal with a couple of domesticated hybrids on occasion due to his job. This was an altogether new experience. Over the last couple years he had grown in notoriety for his skills as a doctor specializing in hybrids but he never thought that he would ever get a chance like this. Not only was it was it a rare breed it was by far the most human one he had ever seen.
He couldn't help but admire its beautiful features. Judging a hybrids age on sight was impossible but it looked near a young eighteen in human years. Although its back was currently facing him as it stretched out on the hard cement bench looking almost boneless, he did his best to asses the creature's health. The creature looked like it was tall in fact it could have been near his height when it stood erect. It looked thin from were he stood but by no means looked the least bit weak. It was easy to tell there was a good amount of muscle hidden under that sleek form. Its thick black tail swished freely as it casually hung over the edge of the bench due to lack of space.
"Ah, there you are Kyoshi. You should have called me when you got here." Kyoshi turned to see his old friend Yuki jogging up to him with his usual stupid grin. "Thank god you're finally here. It's not safe for you to look at him yet, I'll have to call in a few of the guards before you can go in."
Kyoshi stared at his friend dumbfounded for a moment before finally speaking up. "Guards, what do I need guards for? You called me here for an emergency check up on a new pet you collected earlier. Exactly why do I need guards for a check up on a pet?"
Yuki shifted uncomfortably from one foot to another causing Kyoshi to frown. Yuki always did that when he was trying to withhold information. "We know he's someone's pet he still has his collar on. It's just that he put up one hell of a fight going into his cell and" Kyoshi deepened his frown as he glared at Yuki. The fact that Yuki was stuttering defiantly wasn't a good sign. Normally he couldn't get the guy to shut up. "You can't see it now but he's wearing a heart monitoring wrist strap on his left arm and that collar he's wearing isn't a normal collar."
"Ah, but how?" Kyoshi was dumbfounded for a moment he had never heard of a predicament like this. When an owner owned multiple pets or a pet that had shown it self to be dangerous many owners would opt to wearing a heart monitoring strap in order to ensure their safety and obedience from their pets. That way if their heartbeat would ever stop their pets would also perish with them. As much as he personally loathed the things it was becoming common practice these days.
Yuki sighed shaking his head. "We really have no idea how he got his masters strap on himself right now and we can't seem to get a straight answer out of him." Yuki sighed again and patted his friends shoulder. "You're the only person I could think to look at him. He was originally picked up after assaulting someone who was punishing a pet for misbehaving. He got a little scraped up while putting the guy in intensive care."
Kyoshi shrugged Yuki's hand off his shoulder and quickly walked up to the cell door before turning to his friend. "I don't think guards are necessary at this point. Cats don't like to be confined so it was only natural for him to be in a bad mood when you placed him in here. I know how to deal with cats by the most part and he shouldn't be to different so I should be fine by myself, just let me in. Frankly I think you've been working with these things a little to close lately. You need to remember no matter how human they may look they're still animals in the end."
With a slightly indiscernible mutter that sounded somewhat like "arrogant bastard" Yuki pulled out the keys from his pocket and unlocked the cell door. "Are you sure you should do this? He's stronger than he looks and he already sent our in-house vet to the emergency room to get twenty four stitches."
Sighing Kazuo turned to Ryo and simply shook his head before closing the door behind him. Immediately he stilled and turned his attention towards the cat. At first glance it appeared to be resting but experience told him otherwise. The casual dangle of its tail was now a slow calculated swish and its large ears twitched at each and every new sound. Damn. The cat was already beyond tense and all he had done was step inside, it wasn't going to be easy.
Kyoshi did his best to speak low and calmly. "Greetings, I'm Kyoshi and I'm a doctor. I was called here to give you a checkup. They said you got a little banged up." Kyoshi froze as the cat slowly turned and glared at him with a set of eyes that glittered like molten silver. As it stretched and sat up he finally saw the strap on its wrist. "Well that's defiantly an interesting accessory you have there. Feel like telling me how you got it on you?"
Immediately its ears flattened and Kyoshi found himself resisting the urge to backup. If he did that now he could accidentally trigger its prey drive and then he'd be added to the growing number of people this particular cat had injured. After a few moments of nervous silence on Kyoshi's part, he nearly jumped when it finally spoke. "He who fights monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster."
"Nietzsche?" Kyoshi berated himself mentally for stupidly replying but stopped himself when he saw the large cat relax its guard a little. "You know Nietzsche?" Kyoshi cautiously walked forward all the while doing his best to ignore the fact that the hybrid had most likely just admitted to harming its master. "Ah, a little. I dabbled in philosophy when I was younger."
"I won't bite, promise. Besides I'm on a diet anyway." Kyoshi couldn't help but smile a little. He already liked this one and now with more confidence he stepped up to the hybrid and set his medical bag down. "I only got a scratch or two and I've already healed so there's really no reason for you to be here, but I'll consent to a quick checkup just to shut that hyperactive dork up."
Simply nodding in reply Kyoshi softly grabbed the hybrid's had and inspected its arms and wrists. If he had gotten any defensive wounds that was where they would most likely be. All the while doing his best he could before going on to the next one. He couldn't help but marvel at the feline's perfect smooth pale skin. Who ever made him was a true artist in his eyes. As he tilted the cats head up to look for any wounds that may have remained around its neck a small thought occurred to him. "You still haven't told me your name. I was even polite enough to introduce myself first." Kyoshi immediately let go of the cat when it shot him a dangerous look of steel that implied he had just over stepped his grounds. "I'm sorry; you seem to be ok from what I've seen. I'll relay that to Yuki." Kyoshi quickly gathered his things together and proceeded to leave the cell. "Sin." Kyoshi paused at the door to turn and give the hybrid a final glance at the sudden and unexpected omission. "My name is Sin."
"So how is he? He didn't do any thing do you did he? Are you all right? Did he tell you anything? Kyooo say something already! You're really freaking me out!" Kyoshi just stared at Yuki for a moment. The guy really needed to lay off the coffee. When Yuki looked like he was about to launch off another rapid fire set of question Kyoshi felt the urge to intervene so as his friend wouldn't explode.
"I'm just fine. He never so much as put a scratch on me. I didn't get a very good look at him but he looks like he's in fine condition. I didn't feel it was right to try and press him to strip his cloths in front of me so I didn't look at much of him but you shouldn't worry. Hybrids have an amazing healing capacity. Wounds have to bear near fatal or burned before they leave a scar, you know that. As for how he got that wristband on or the whereabouts of his master I wouldn't put high hopes on getting that information anytime soon. From the looks of him he's an illegal splice so I highly doubt his master will claim him no matter what condition he's in. So you don't have to worry about some wealthy old bastard coming in and raising a stink about how you have his pet. If that's all you need from me right now I have to go. I have an appointment with an actual client. You know those people who actually pay me for my work rather than try and find a way to always weasel out of paying me. Oh, and by the way its name is Sin"
Yuki slumped somewhat defeated. "I already knew all that.except his name. You're a good vet and you've worked with cats before. I was really wishing you could get something new. Still you're the first person he's let within five feet of him with out getting dangerous." Yuki paused only to shoot Kyoshi his best puppy dog look. "Please tell me you'll come in and check on him from time to time." "Fine I'll check on him but don't depend on it to much I'm a busy person." With a dismissive wave Kyoshi turned and left
As his friend left a slight movement from within the cell caught Yuki's attention. Gazing in the window on the door he could now see that boy pacing back and fourth in the cell nervously. Yuki really had to admit he was a beautiful one. He had gorgeous jet black hair that fell loosely against his neck and lightly brushing his shoulders from time to time in a wild and untamed way as he walked around the cell nervously. If it weren't for the feline ears and tail he sported he could easily pass as a human. The fact that he was an illegal probably meant that he had a little actual human DNA in him, rather than just modified feline DNA. Still a pet was a pet.
Pulling himself out of his thoughts with a forceful grunt Yuki trudged off to his office. There was already a lot of paperwork and they had just received him, worse yet it was only the tip of the iceberg. There was a hell of a lot more to come. He always was annoyed with his job at the pound but today was the cake. He'd probably be stuck doing paperwork for weeks. Maybe superstitious people were right and black cats were bad luck after all.

Muse Freak Out

Well I'm basickly here to vent right now. I was sitting down a wrighting a fan fiction for Loveless that was suspose to be a M rated Seimei/Ritsuka fic. Yeah you head me rigfht an Ayogicest fan fiction when my muse completly spazzed out on me.

My story was coming along nicly and i was about four paragraphs in when the end to the story poped into my head. (Eh?) Ok, so i scribbled down in my somwhat indistinguahabe hand writing how it should go when she started throweing random scenes at me.

Ou of nowhere a bath sceen flashed in front of my eyes. Seimei scrubbing Ritsukas back being all cuddly and creepy while comforting to Ritsuka, the abruptly that sceen was interupted by a sceen where Seimei was taking care or Ritsuka's wounds and bandaging a few cuts in his overly loving ways...then they werew in bed. At about this time my brain was smoking from all the jumping as another disturbing but odly beautifull moment played in my head was suddenly interupted by a re-write on how the whole Damn story should start!

I nearly screamed with frustration. There was no way in hell i could write enough to sedate my now rabid muse as she forced sceen after beautiful sceen down my throat before i could even type another series would start.

Then horribly my mind went completly blank. It seemed she had burnt herself out leaving me with roughly twenty half finshed moments and absloutly no ideah how the hell to conect them! Damn her.....

Bored

Well. Darn it. Latly my muse has abandoned me. With out any reason so I'm determinded to hunt her down this weekend and give her a peice of my mind.
